Hey! I'm Amy
I'm all about capturing the raw, emotive moments, as they unfold on your day. No boring traditional photos, or awkward staged poses! I love love, and promise to capture yours in an 'authentically you' kind of way, documenting your day exactly as you remember - the tears, the laughter, Uncle Bill doing the moonwalk on the dance floor, and everything in-between!

PORTRAITS
the family formal's, the bridal party and the couple's photos
CONGRATS, IT'S OFFICIAL!!
There is a lot to capture throughout the drink's reception - this is one of my most time sensitive parts of the day, so being prepared to get the formalities out the way as efficiently and pain-free as possible is key
01 / TIMINGS
โ
During the drink's reception, there's no time to waste! This is when we capture your family formals, bridal party, couple's portraits, and guest candids, as well as an opportunity for me to go and photograph the beautifully decorated reception room before everyone is seated!
โ
I highly recommend giving yourself 90 – 120 minutes for the drinks reception. Occasionally couples have only 60 minutes, and something almost always has to give. That extra time means we can cover everything without feeling rushed. Believe me, this time flies by, so the more organised we can be with the time, the more time you will have to enjoy your day - I want to be capturing those invaluable candids of you and your guests!!

02 / FAMILY FORMALS
โ
Most of my couples tend to favour more natural and candid images, but almost all want some family photos. My biggest piece of advice is, don’t over complicate it. Try and keep your family formals list as concise as possible to avoid it eating into spending quality time with your guests. Each group will likely take longer than you expect (roughly 5mins per grouping), so I recommend keeping it to 5-8 groups, including immediate family, grandparents (if you’re lucky enough to have them with you) and the wedding party.
โ
The best time to get family formals is after the ceremony, but before everyone nips to the loos / bar. It’s important for this part of the day that everyone’s on board, and I have a helper (e.g. the best man or maid of honour) who knows who everyone and can help me round up the troupes. This is a really nice time to capture the wedding party all together in their matching outfits too!
โ
I’ll be in contact around 6 weeks before your wedding to get a list of your desired family formals so we can fly through them efficiently on the day.

03 / COUPLE'S PORTRAITS
โ
It’s a good idea to set aside 20 - 30 mins for portraits during your drinks reception in case the weather turns, or your timeline gets too busy later. Hopefully by this point you will be used to the camera being around, but if you are still feeling at all camera shy – don’t worry! My job is to make you feel at ease and guide you through the process. Often, the portrait session is your only 1-1 time away from all your guests throughout the wedding day – so it’s time for you to catch up away from the hustle and bustle of it all. Think of it like you’re nipping out on a date, just the two of you, mid-way through your wedding day!
โ
There’s no need to feel awkward, I will keep you moving and interacting so it all feels natural and authentic! I’ll be there to prompt you so you’re never left wondering what to do with yourselves. If you are at all worried about being in front of the camera – I highly recommend booking a pre-shoot to iron out any nerves ahead of the big day!
