Choosing a spot that's sentimental or meaningful to you, adds a whole new dimension to an image. Maybe it's somewhere you love to go walking together? Or maybe you're keen surfers, and spend all your time at the coast?
SOMEWHERE SCENIC
Perhaps it's not that it's a particularly meaningful location.. yet! But you know of somewhere breathtaking that you've always pictured for your shoot.. let's go make some memories there and make it sentimental!
TONES / TEXTURES / PEACE
1 / TONES
Think about the colours that really speak to you. I love the beach, for the neutral tones in the rocks and sand, with the contrasting blue of the sea. I love the woods and the hills for the earthy tones, the greenery, the flowers. While cities can give us a diverse range of tones to work with.
2 / TEXTURES
The beach offers us a beautiful minimal vibe where the sand blends into the sea, which blends into the sky, with the odd pops of texture in the dunes, the rocks and the crashing waves. The woods and hills offer us a busier and much more textured environment, with a variety of backdrops. Cities give us interesting leading lines and architecture to incorporate into our images.

I know how daunting it can be getting your photo taken in front of one stranger, let alone a whole audience. So if you do worry about stage fright, talk to me, we can pick a discreet location, at a quiet time.
COLOUR PALETTE,
This ties closely into your outfit choices too, so I'll delve into this in detail during the 'wardrobe' section of this guide, but it's also worth considering when picking your location. After all, your location and outfit want to compliment each other!

YOUR VENUE
Why not speak with your venue about the potential of having your pre-shoot at the venue itself? Keep in mind, if they have a busy diary and suggest a specific date, we may have a little more trouble rearranging your shoot around them should the weather not be playing ball. Unless of course you're happy to embrace a rainy day shoot!
TRAVEL + ACCESS
Please note, some locations may not be on the doorstep - travel is complimentary within 30 miles of NE3, there will be a travel expense for locations further afield.
If your location takes quite a bit of walking / hiking / moving around to reach those scenic spots, it may be that we need to block out more time than 2hrs. This would incur an additional time expense.
Some locations may require permission to photograph in. Please make sure you seek the appropriate permission from your shoot location. If there is an additional expense for entry, this must be covered by yourselves.
