THE RING SHOT
I love to capture a ring shot during an engagement shoot. Make sure your ring is clean (and you have your nails done if this is important to you too)!
THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU, YOU!
The best way to make sure the photos really reflect you, is to have a think about what really makes you, you. What do you enjoy doing together? What hobbies do you have?
If you're a skater, bring your skate board, let's go to a park and have some fun with it! You're a surfer? Let's go to the coast with the boards! You have a camper van? Let's include it!! If you just LOVE to go for a walk, why not bring a blanket? We can have a wonder, a sit, take in the views and get cosy!
Do you have a dog you'd like to include? Bring them!!
(I would highly recommend having a helper with you who can take care of them behind the scenes though, just so you're not distracted when getting some individual photos too!)
Why not bring a bottle of champagne for a cool celebratory champagne spray shot?
No idea is too out there!

One thing I love to do with couples, are exchanging love notes. This is where you write down in advance of the shoot (in secret!) things about your partner. This may include (but in no way is limited to!), a time that you felt really proud of them, the first moment you realised you were falling in love with them, something they do that always makes you happy, your favourite thing about them, a memory that always stands out to you. You can write anything!
Bring those notes with you! During the shoot, we can find a moment to go somewhere quiet and read them to each other. I can shoot from a distance, so I'm not listening, if you'd prefer to do it in private. These are all the things we assume our partners already know, but quite often have never actually been spoken out loud. This is such a beautiful way for you to share those things between you, and for me to capture the REAL you.
